The official award ceremony of the PinchukArtCentre Prize, a contemporary art prize awarded to young Ukrainian artists under 35á has taken place on December 4-th in Arena Club, Kyiv. The Prize objective is to produce, support and develop a new generation of young Ukrainian artists.
As any developing city in the world, Kyiv is constantly changing, offering its residents more new restaurants, clubs, shops, services and all kinds of ways to have fun.
But many things common in the west world are still missing here.
Some of the most remarkable recent German movies will be screened at the “New German Movies” festival held in Kyiv cinema Sept. 18-23. The program features six movies made in 2008-9, plus a retrospective of director Alexander Kluge and a collection of modern German animations.
