The grandiose complex of the Exhibition of Advanced Experiments in the National Economy of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic was built on a territory of more than 300 hectares in 1952-1958. Part of the territory was taken up by elegant pavilions exhibiting the "fabulous prosperity of Ukraine under the Soviet regime". The centre is now the National Exhibition Centre (Exocentre) of Ukraine.
