Korners auction house is holding its first ever pre-auction exhibition called “Collection Paintings of XIX-XX Centuries” at the Spiritual Treasures of Ukraine museum.
Art collectors as well as anyone curious will have a chance to view classical artworks to be auctioned off on March 27 during six days – March 20 till March 26. Among the highlights of the exhibition are “Three Damsels at Needlework” by Ilya Repin, which will be the first time that a Russian classic’s painting will be presented at a Ukrainian auction.
Also the exposition will feature works by legendary Ukrainian symbolist Ivan Trush (1869-1941), iconic filmmaker and artist Serhiy Paradzhanov (1924-1990), expressionist artist and Soviet spy Mykola Hlushchenko (1901-1977), the founder of Female Artist Union of France Zhenya Minache (1907-1972), one of the founders of poster art Frenchman Jules Cheret (1836-1932) – his work “Carriages at the Etoile Square” is seen on the photo above, and living classic of Ukrainian trance-avant-garde Oleksandr Roytburd.
