Dynamo relentless in defeat of Spartak | 2008.29.08
FC Dynamo Kyiv defeated former Soviet rivals FC Spartak Moskva 4-1 for the second time in two weeks to confirm their place in the UEFA Champions League group stage, according to UEFA.
Confident start
Holding a three-goal advantage from the first leg, Dynamo were firm favourites to progress and they rubber-stamped their ticket for Thursday`s draw thanks to two goals in each half. Olexandr Aliyev and Ismaël Bangoura extended Dynamo`s lead, and while Spartak`s Artem Dzyuba briefly reduced the arrears just after half-time, Artem Milevskiy repeated his first-leg feat of scoring twice.
